What Are Binaural Beats?
The binaural beats are an fantasy created by the brain when you heed to two tones with slightly different prevalence at the same time.

What Can Binaural Beats Do?
There are binaural beats at different frequencies and each frequency is associated with results that correspond to different levels of brain wave activity.
Delta waves binaural beats:
Delta waves or delta brain waves are the slowest brain waves. These waves have a frequency between 0.5 Hz and 4 Hz. While using binaural beats has its upsides, more research is needed to comprehend the full scope of benefits that they have.
Is binaural beats safe to use?
Binaural beats are generally safe to use. That said, there are certain groups of people that should avoid using them:
- People who suffer from seizure disorders. The increasing or decreasing brainwave stimulation may trigger abnormal neurological impulses.
- Those with pacemakers or with other heart problems. Binaural beats may be known to affect brainwaves, but they may also affect heart rhythm.
- Those operating heavy machinery. Induced relaxation isn’t compatible with driving or using machines that require your full attention.
- Children. Their brains are still developing and therefore, aren’t encouraged to use binaural beats.
- Pregnant women. For the reason above, those who are pregnant might want to steer clear because their fetus is still in the development stage.
One question regarding safety that often arises is: can binaural beats damage your brain? The answer is no. While they can affect your brainwaves and have the ability to alter the physiological state of your brain, they can’t damage your brain.

Always Listen to Low Volumes
Binaural Beats work only at lower volumes due to two reasons. First of all, they should not dominate. The purpose of using binaural beats is to enhance the focus on the main task, be it work, sleep, or meditation. Secondly, our brain computes the beat’s frequency differences better at lower volumes.
Short-Time Frames Are Better
Binaural Beats work better when they are used to get into the mood and then switched off. Half an hour or so would be good enough. When you are about to start your work, a few minutes of the beats can put you in the alert state for work. A light sleep prep with the beats, right before bedtime can work wonders for your wellbeing. Overdose, on the other hand, is harmful. Many hours of listening to them can cause the opposite effect. There have been reports about severe headaches, nausea, unwanted drowsiness etc due to prolonged use.
Choose the Right Beats
Depending on the frequency range of binaural beats, they can have a different effect on our brain. While some frequencies help in learning and memory, few others help in relaxation.
Seek the Music That Reflects You

Daily listening can help to make sure that stress and anxiety won’t shoot up. While it’s good to listen at the start of tasks, it is not absolutely necessary. The must-have ones are the morning and evening meditations. Others are good to have.
